Yup, I'm with you on this one d.p. - a little more tolerance all around. There's more than enough bullshit surrounding us daily... we don't need bad karma from those in the brotherhood.

This is indeed the Brotherhood of Bullshit, and you know I rather like it that way. You never know what you're going to get from one day to the next. However, let us also give thanks to the sisters among us who do much to raise the tone around here.

I knew you really always loved this drama queen...but if I were "around", would this be tolerated?

No doubt.

The inexorable rise from primus inter pares to imperius regina. Still, yours to command, your majesty. Aye, yours to command.

Did you know that if you rearrange the letters in "so-called tea party Republicans," and add just a few more letters, it spells: "Shut the fuck up you free-loading, progress-blocking, benefit-grabbing, resource-sucking, violent, hypocritical assholes, and face the fact that you nearly wrecked the country under Bush." How weird is that?

good one!

Am I the ONLY one who sees these " conversations" as being primarily one person who uses multiple names to have conversations with them self and hopefully bait others into it as well? And it always centers around insanely right wing politics.Look at the review it seems pretty obvious to me. Two different names ( who knows how many more )same exact style. Then this post today drawing attention to it in an " anti" stance only this person only has ONE forum post ever and it's this one?

You may not be the only one, but I did not catch that "duckpond74" was a "new poster". Interesting theory.

yep... also observe, dunno myself, but I'm seeing another "one", maybe. Above is unclejohn52's second post here. Interesting. Any archivist here would notice that, I think - after smoking my 2nd bowl.

Please pass the bowl then... I've been reading and learning here for about a year, so I don't want to be cast in a conspiratorial light. Just want to be among the community, and I think we can enjoy a little banter sans nastiness. For me, it's all about the music.

I've seen it a bunch of times, new poster, then multiple names start chiming in often heavy on the keyboard characters, then throw in the anti liberal dead horse beating, etc. Then some of these characters you never see again.

sorry my first post to this site was kindled by a few too many recent bile spewings . . . I could no longer, sit back and see yet one more worthy aspect / spinoff of the organic entity that eminates from, surrounds and still - after all of these years - draws like-minded folks to that which is the Grateful Dead without expressing my concern. You will likely see more postings from me as reviews - that is, comments on the shows and tapes - and maybe a few shared experiences.

I reckon you're right, John. Seems pretty sad to have to invent some imaginary friends for yourself, but coming up with a few imaginary enemies when everybody despises you anyway is just a little pathetic.

Things are going okay over here, John. Enjoying some hot, sunny weather and a new contract that just arrived this morning! Hope everything is going well for you too.

Been meaning to ask you for a while if you'd seen the clips of Peter Kaukonen playing with Hot Tuna on YouTube. Here are a couple, there are more:

Peter K. just rips it up - incredible guitar player.

meant to get back to you sooner. New Contract? I assume that's good. Contract? Not to take someone out I hope haha

Yeah I've seen those clips. That was a great lineup, right after the Airplane hoax. That was back when Jorma was still down and dirty. He still palys well but has fallen into the easy listening category to me. I like it more raunchy

Hey its ok, man - you have your life to live! Yeah new contract - it's not a biggie just one more book, but it keeps me in blank discs and booze...

It would be great to hear more of Peter K. He just seems like a really talented intelligent guy. The About PK section on his website (link for anyone who wants to take a look: http://www.peterkaukonen.com/about/index.html) is just wonderful. The disc you sent me a while back is one of my absolute favourites. Guy really deserves to be better known - though I kind of suspect he likes being under the radar.
